Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains what ikima collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can.
The short version
- We keep your account, your games and your progress so the game works.
- We never sell your data.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time.
Who we are
Eureka Gaming Studios, a business registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission, runs ikima and decides how your data is used.

What we collect
When you visit our website
We count how people use the site, so we can make it better. We record events such as "the page opened" or "a button was pressed", with the screen size, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in your link.
Events never hold your email, your username or your IP address. Our servers see your IP address when they send you a page and when they stop abuse, as every website does.
When username reservations are open, and you reserve one
We keep the username you pick, your email, how you signed in, your place in line, your invite link and the invite code you arrived with.
When you play ikima
- Your account: your email, how you sign in, and a scrambled (hashed) password if you use one.
- Your profile: your username, display name, country, avatar, crew and, if you give it, your birth year. Until we know you are 18 or older, we treat you as under 18.
- Your games: your answers and how fast you gave them, your results, ratings, league, streak and ikima coins.
- People you play with: who you follow, the Hails and replies you send and receive, and the challenge links you share, with the scores on them.
- Challenge links without an account: if you play a link as a guest, we keep your score and nothing else. We store no name, IP address or device id.
- Safety: reports you make, reports about you, and blocks.
- Messages to us: what you send to support, with your app version and phone model.
- Notifications: a device token, if you turn on notifications.
Why we use it, and our legal reasons
| What we do | Legal reason |
|---|---|
| Run your account and your games | To provide the service you asked for |
| Hold your reserved username | To provide the service you asked for |
| Email you when ikima launches | Your consent |
| Count website visits | Our legitimate interest |
| Keep play fair and players safe | Our legitimate interest |
| Meet legal duties | Legal obligation |
You can take back your consent at any time. Every launch email has a link to stop them.
How long we keep it
- Website events: deleted after 90 days.
- Reserved usernames: kept until 90 days after launch, for you to claim. If you don't, we release the name and delete your email.
- Your account: kept while you have it, and deleted from our servers when you delete it.
- Game records: some, such as past duel results, stay without your name or email, so other players' results stay right.
- Challenge links: a link and every score on it expire together. If you delete your account, we delete the links you made and the scores other players and guests put on them, because those scores only make sense with the link. We also delete the rounds you played on other links.
- Guest rounds: if a guest round is not claimed, we delete it after the link expires. If the guest signs up, the round moves to their new account.
Shared previews: a preview picture or page of a link can stay on a share app or in a cache for up to a day after you delete it. We cannot take back a preview someone already received.
Data that leaves your country
Our providers may store your data outside your country. When they do, we keep it protected, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can:
- see the data we hold about you, and get a copy of it by email;
- fix data that is wrong;
- delete your account (in the app: Settings, then Delete account, or write to us);
- object to how we use it, or take back your consent.
Write to info@eurekastudios.io. We may ask you to prove it is your account first. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Players outside Nigeria get the same rights and promises.
Children and young players
You must be at least 13 to use ikima. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we delete it.
Players under 18 get extra care:
- their profiles are private;
- their results post to the Feed only if they turn it on;
- they are not suggested to other players.
ikima has no open chat and no ads, for anyone.
Keeping your data safe
Your data is encrypted when it travels and when it is stored. Passwords and sign-in links are stored only in scrambled form. If a breach puts you at risk, we will tell you.
Cookies and storage
Our website sets no cookies of its own. Signing in with Google or Apple sets one short security cookie. The site remembers light or dark mode in your browser.
The app keeps your sign-in, progress and settings on your device, so the game works offline. Deleting your account clears them.
Coming later
Some features aren't here yet, such as voice games and paid extras. We will update this policy before they arrive.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell you first.
